As spring returns, temperatures rise, rainfall increases, and sandstorms become more frequent. After being parked and used in low temperatures during the winter, the various components of the KB mast crane are prone to aging, corrosion, or performance degradation. Spring is a critical time for equipment maintenance. Targeted maintenance can not only repair the damage left over from winter but also lay a solid safety foundation for high-altitude operations throughout the year, ensuring that the equipment always maintains a highly efficient and stable operating condition.

Electrical System

Spring brings abundant rainfall and high humidity, making electrical control cabinets, batteries, cables, and other components of the KB mast vehicle susceptible to moisture and short circuits. The electrical control cabinet must be opened, and dry compressed air used to blow away internal dust and moisture. Core components should be inspected for rust and looseness. Battery terminals should be cleaned and conductive grease applied to prevent oxidation. Cable sheaths should be inspected for damage and aging; repair or replace as needed.

Hydraulic System

As spring temperatures rise, the viscosity and contamination level of the hydraulic oil should be checked. KB-specified anti-wear hydraulic oil should be replaced promptly, and the oil tank and filter cleaned. Hydraulic line interfaces and seals should be inspected; aging or damage should be replaced with original factory seals.

Tram and Structural Components

The tracks, mast, and other components of the KB mast platform are prone to accumulating mud, sand, and dust, which can lead to rust and wear over time. Track tension should be adjusted, debris removed from the tracks, and track shoes inspected for damage. Meanwhile, clean exposed metal parts such as the mast and outriggers, check for any rust left over from winter, remove rust promptly, and apply an anti-rust coating to extend the service life of the parts.

Safety System

Before spring operations, test the sensitivity of the wireless remote control to ensure smooth response during movement, lifting, and rotation; check safety components such as fall arrestors, overload protection, and emergency stop buttons to ensure sensitive triggering and reliable operation; clean and inspect the work platform railings and anti-slip pedals, and tighten loose bolts to ensure operational safety from the source.

Spring maintenance may seem tedious, but it is actually key to reducing equipment failure rates. Following the above points and meticulously performing spring maintenance on the KB mast platform can not only repair winter damage but also adapt to the changing working environment in spring, allowing the equipment to be put into operation in optimal condition, ensuring efficient and safe operations throughout the year.
